I've been pretty quiet here lately...but for good reason...

For the last two months, I've been working heads-down on a recording project entitled "Simply Christmas", and have just received the manufactured CDs. Just in time for the holiday season


Some of you have supported my music in the past (thanks, btw), so I thought it would be worthwhile to let you know about the project. You can get ALL of the details at my personal website, including upcoming performances : http://www.dbeckett.com/music

CDs are available for purchase there. I've posted most of my discography as well, and all of the music is available for preview using streaming technology. If you prefer digital downloads to physical CDs, you can surf over to my MySpace page and purchase them through the Snocap widget there. Eventually, the CD will be available worldwide via digital delivery through iTunes, Napster, and Amazon, but those stores take forever to go live, and probably won't be available until the week of Christmas

"Simply Christmas" features my arrangements and performances of favorite Christmas carols and standards. It highlights acoustic piano stylings accompanied by a handful of Detroit-area vocalists and instrumentalists. Yep, that's me playing piano...except for track number 7, which is my wife playing piano. Also, my 17-yr old son is playing the soprano sax on track 4. So it was a real family affair...lot's of fun
