I replaced the rubber seal on the intank fuel pump. It stopped the leak for about 2 months, then the fuel started to leak. I tightened it up a little and it leaked again. Now I drained the tank and made sure each surface is free of foreign material and tightened the fuel pump by hand until the rubber surfaces met, then just a tad more. It doesn't leak now, but is there a torque that it should be at?

The wiring to the pump only connects to one side of the fuel pump, e.g. positive wire to positive on pump, negative wire to negative on pump and NOT vice versa?

Thanks,
Rob

I guess what I meant was there is no way to switch them? Like the size of each post is slightly different so the wires cannot be switched.

That's certainly true of the main pump, but I'm not sure about the in-tank pump.
