I have always tried to keep my cars original, until I acquired my 87 924S. I already had a 88SE, so the 87 was an identical extra. Lusting for a wider body, I did the first non-original modifications to a car I have ever done. I held my breath, and took a reciprocating saw to the wheel well... that was the point of no return. Everything that I do to this car I would like to look natural, like it is supposed to be there.

Here is my question. Is this center light yay or nay?

I think its an improvement. I added one to mine and it really improves the look of the rear end in my opinion.

Good looking car but I have never liked the center billboard.

A tastefull vanity plate like BYTE ME or URPASSD helps fill the wasteland between lighting

I don't think those things look horrible or anything...but yours is too light...I would make it a bit darker cherry red...even tint it, and the taillights...would look great on a black car, IMO.

I think it would look fine if you only had one large PORSCHE sign on the back of the car.

I like them, however, I dont like that you have to mount the liscense plate on the bumper. I have one myself.

+1

They look OK until you put the license plate on the bumper. I've given a couple of those away....

it just looks empty between the lights with it. and I dont like our North american plates. so mounting the plate just under the rear bumper is the best.

I had thought about painting it gloss black to match the body of the car. I wanted to see how it acted as a light first. Im not sure what to think. I dont like the gap in the back of the car, but my liking the panel is boarderline.

actually if you use a darker red so as to match the brake/tail lights, I think it would look ALOT better.

Just make it a bit darker red, enough to blend in with the tail lights, and it will look great.

That mirrors what I was thinking, but should I remove the existing paint and try to find a darker red transparent than testors 1605, (it was hard just to find that) or should I "smoke it" with some black spray tint?
