I'm trying to show the flat of the Grub which are bottom most in the picture, and the Grubs trajectory in relation to these flats, which way is correct?

The flat needs to be parallel to the cam. And the tip of the valve. The valve tip presses against the flat of the adjuster so that flat and the valve tip must mate full surface. The picture on the right. _________________ John

No, the 86-88 924S has the same 2.5L engine as a 944, and it has hydraulic lifters. This is a completely different engine design, sharing no parts with the 924 2.0L engine.
You are asking about the mechanical lifters used on a 76-85 924 2.0L engine. The correct place for this discussion is the General Discussion Section where 924 2.0 mechanical issues are discussed. |
