Does anyone know how to remove headlights from an 1990 964

Where are the mounting screws located.

Cover ring has been removed but can only see the headlight adjustment screws.

Has h4 headlights.

Download the PET parts list for that car and have a look - might get you some clues.

Copied from a Rennlist Post:

Once you have removed the rim, you only have one more screw to undo. It's the same place as the screw that held the headlight rim on - that screws into another screw underneath the rim. It has a big slot in the head. Undo this, and the headlight will pull out. There is a lip at the top which holds it in but if you twist / pull the headlight a bit it comes out easily enough.

Don't touch the other screws - by turning these you have now completely changed the alignment of your headlight. When you replace the bulb you will need to get it checked because it could be pointing anywhere now

Another post from Rennlist:

Step one
Undo the lower screw and remove the painted Headlight surroundind. Put it aside somewhere wher e you cannot scratch the paint by stumbling across (DON'T ask why!!)

Step two
Don't turn the two upper screws, theyr function is to align the light beam, since you turned them I strongly would suggest you to go to your next garage and have the beam reajusted.

Step Three
Take a normal large screwdriver and unscrew the thing (where the first screw holding the painted Headlight surrounding was in) on the botom of the Headlight, I know that it'does not look like a screw but believe me it is one! This thing will not come out entirely, you have too loosen it fully but you won't be able to pull it out!!!

Step Four
Take your Headlight at the bottom and carefully lift it up.

Step Five
Undo the wires or just insert the new light bulb,
Be carefull not to tuch your paint surrounding the Headlight.

Step Six
Drive *%*!!F..*"%!! 30Km to buy a new headlight gasket that you destroyed because is was sort of melted to the Fender and the Headlight.

Step Seven
Redo everything and be very surprised as the thing you unscrewed is a pain to put back in the tiny hole from where it came out. Once you found the hole be again very suprised as the thing screws neatly in and then seems to turn freely with no back up and no back force!

Step Eight
Put back the painted headlisght surrounding, by screwing the tiny philipps screw in the thing where it came out first.

Step nine
Thank the Allmighty that the bulb blow had not occured during a night trip on the Highway, Thank him again for that you where alone, with no friend or even girlfriend or wife giving you good avices and least thank the ingeneers at Weissach for having build such a hum... hum...

IIRC
The Oz headlight is different to the USA headlight.
The mounting and headlight are all one unit. There is no surround ring holding the light on. It is the light.
