Much like last year, we'll be based out of Fontana Village. Currently, no deal has been struck yet regarding room rates. However, I expect the same 15% break we received last year.

We're hoping that all the excitement will have died down by November, last Fall with the exception of a small group of Vet's we had the road to ourselves. I was down there a couple of weeks ago following a friend in his 911, there were a total of four cops & all were parked with radar on. Even if they hadn't given themselves away with radar, the other drivers/riders clued us in well in advance to their presence.
In the event they're still out in force, WNC offers several of alternatives void of the hassles.
