I bought my 924 with this exhaust system on it...anyone know what kind it is? It is a little loud for my tastes, and not to mention Cali emissions laws are like Nazi germany...so I don't want any unwanted attention from Police...so I am thinking about selling and putting a stock cat-back on...

And so I don't have to make another thread...Anyone have a stock catback in great condition for sale? I'll probably be selling this one soon...

if you clean the carbon out of the inside of the tips, and find yellow paint, its probably a monza... hard to say really, but there should be a stamped logo someplace on the tips or on the muffler itself if its a matched set.

ive got a nice stock 78 n/a complete exhaust (all but the manifold), but i wouldn't know how to ship it and honestly don't want to deal with it, it would have to be pick up only, and i think fl would be a bit far for you ...

Thanks for the info! Would you be interested in trading this for your stock caback? Maybe we could split shipping costs?

If not, I will start a WTB thread.

You should be able to find one in the boneyard. A 944 exhaust will work with minor modifications (search for a post by gohim on the details), and is stainless. Heard of PartsHeaven up in Hayward?

I got one from Ansa {Italy I think} for $300.00 which is a little pricey but it goes on without much problem and has a nice little exhaust tip, a little oval but not too big.

You can see it doesn't stick out much, which is what I wanted.

Performance Products sells a Dansk factory replacement for 199.95, It will be on back order I bet. Took over a month to get mine. They sell a replacement cat for 260.

Sorry to bring this old thread back to life, but my aftermarket exhaust has basically fallen apart...and I was just wondering if Performance Products still sells the Dansk...because I looked on their website, and couldn't find it...

And with this Ansa exhaust...I am guessing i will have to have the hangers welded on?

I don't know, I mean, I don't see any reason why you have to weld the hangers with this Ansa exhaust - why do you say that?

On my car the exhaust is aftermarket V8 size and I don't think I have any hangers welded on - I think they're carried by rubber pieces that hold the metal hanger in place. The Ansa piece looks dead on.

PS Loud is good.

I needed a $10 hanger for the Ansa because mine was worn out.

How do you fit the mower under the car?

I cut a hole in the bottom of my trunk, the lawnmower gives me an extra 15% horse power.

A mower in your trunk. Well, people tell me mexicans stow grass all over their cars. You should tell them about the mower idea.
