Not sure about the first picture but the second is a prototype of the Panamera which is due out next year. It is a front engine water cooled V-8. The scuttlebutt is that a 2 door coupe version is due in 2010. i.e. the 928 is resurrected.

I second that. The old 928 was way better looking. That thing approaches station wagon styling. However, I am glad to see front engine porsches coming back. |

First car reminds me of this
I really don't like the panamera, both on looks and on principle. To me, Porsche make sports cars, like Ferrari and Lamborghini et al. The introduction of the Cayenne and the Panamera (not to mention the rumoured small Cayenne) really don't do it for me. I just get the feeling that Porsche is slowly becoming Audi (not that that's a bad thing, after all, we are all kinda driving audis!) with all these sensible, suburban cars.
I'd really like Porsche to come out and say "you know what, we're not building anything with more than 2 practical seats!". I'm sure that these new cars are helping the company, just as our cars did when they came out, but i'd like porsche to stick to what they do best: cars that look good and go fast. _________________ 1977 Martini Rossi |
