|
|
Has anyone ever heard of a Porsche manufactured 28 mm stabiliser bar to suit the 924 or 931? Have checked the PET and tech section and find no mention of one that big. Not the later 944 type either.
Just want to know if such a thing exists.
Thanks,
Roger |

Roger,
It's not far from me if you need someone to pick it up for you...

Thanks Gav, appreciate the offer, see what happens.
You can see its the early type but I cant find any listing bigger than 23 or maybe 25.5 mm. Hope he can measure OK ?

Thanks Leadfoot, but according to this guy Porsche did one too. Still hope he is correct with his measurements!

Peter, If you wanted it too I wouldnt have bid if you did the nice thing and sent me an email. Realistically, how many Rogers do you know in Oz with 924s? Alternatively I would have been happy giving you a carton of beer instead of the seller.
Anyway, I`m not too unhappy since it will be a long time before another one this size comes up for $85.

Roger, I didn't know you were interested. I just chucked on a bid as I left work and nobody had bid on it. _________________ 1979 924 (Gone to a better place)

Hrm, don't look OEM to me. . .doesn't mean it's not a good buy, of course, I just don't think its a Porsche part as he says. _________________ Toofah King Bad

Yes leadfoot, I couldnt find anyone who makes one 28mm. So I asked him twice. Genuine Porsche eh? I dunno!
More or less hope youre correct Rasta, coz I dont think Porsche made one that big. To me it does look OEM, thats the worry. Even tried to scale it and it is pushing crap uphill to make 28.mm.
Am getting a bad feeling about this becoming another ebay f*@$ around. Had no communication since the auction and still sus about the size.

As if I havent been trying mate. Sent him msg last nite via ebay and also by email, and 2 more today, with no reply.
Cant be too keen to get his money but is aware he wont be getting it till the calipers go around it. Am thinking that maybe he has now got off his arse(or come down) and realized that he`s at least 5mm off so is avoiding contact Dunno. Have had a good run on ebay lately so maybe now things are averaging out with 2 dickheads in the last week!

That's what you get for bidding against me
Hey Gav, saw you on the highway heading north this morning. Those lights look sweet. You need a rear spoiler badly. _________________ 1979 924 (Gone to a better place)
