Hi all
Its time to start my race motor rebuild, as I killed it big time 4 weeks back
My first problem is, hear over in the UK you can no longer get a new oil pump as it seems they have stopped making them
Can any one help. With a supplier or contact or even one for sale
Thanks

Hi Dave,
Not sure of your intents for the rebuild, if it is highly modified or intended for racing, but the oil pump is very durable, and unless there is a problem with it you shouldn't need to replace it. Just be sure to swap in a new cylinder in the oil pressure relief valve, and a new spring in there too if you are ambitious.

Ahh, stupid me, I just re-read your original post. Are you worried your oil pump picked up some debris when your engine died? A used oil pump from a known good engine may be a good option? _________________ 1987 951 - M193 Version for Japan |

Pop open the oil pump, if concerned, using an impact driver, and check it.
I've never used a new pump, they always seem to have plenty of output. _________________ Vaughan Scott
