| Where can you research porsche production information? I have been looking for a sort of archives online to no avail. I want more detailed information concerning the production of special edition models. There is not much out there for a 88 LeMans SE, but I understand the factory had to have had detailed information on the special edition cars it was making. Is there any way to get acess to these kinds of records, or should I just give up due to the impossibility of the task? |

I've seen (but can't be bothered finding them right now) a couple of pages linked in various threads on this 'board that show production numbers of various models (i.e. 924, 924 Turbo, 924S, etc...) and I've got a couple of books back home that somewhat randomly state production figures, depending on the particular model they're describing. While I'm confident they're reasonably accurate in general, I wouldn't put complete faith in them, down to the last car.
I've never seen anything that actually breaks down production numbers of every variation of the 924, eg. LeMans SE, Martini, Turbo S, etc...
If you're looking for a link to an official Porsche production database on the Internet, I suspect you're S.O.L.
Perhaps you might be best off just sending a polite e-mail to Porsche requesting the information you want? _________________ '80 924 Turbo |

And it might help to hint that you're also thinking of buying a 997! _________________ 1985 Porsche 924 'Lux', Kalahari Beige (my ex)
