I bought a 82 924 about three weeks ago and the owner has yet to get me the keys or title (only paid half for the car, the rest is still in my pocket waiting for ^ stuff) but im tired of sitting around not knowing if its running or not. I know I can pull out the electrical part of the ignition switch and then turn the car on and off with a screwdriver while the steering wheel remains locked and im planning on doing that tonight. However to make life easier, do any of you have any advice about how to do this? This will be my first job on a porsche other than changing the oil so I don't want to screw up right off. Thanks! Oh and if I put this up in the wrong place please feel free to move it mods, I won't be offended.

This section if for listing step by step instructions of how to make repairs etc.

You could have posted this in the General Discussion forum.

Since you're new I doubt anyone will call the FBI on you.

Are you sure the owner is the proper owner? 3 weeks is a long time to wait for the title and keys.

P.S. Did you get a good deal?

He says he was selling it for a friend... I got the car itself for 150 so even if I have to part it out I can recoup my losses. Either way I ended up figuring it out so maybe I'll just post up a how to myself.
