Anyone in the boston area know of a good place to have my flywheel refinished. Over my fall break i'm going to put the engine back together and try to get it back in the car. This means that in that week i have to get the flywheel refinished so that the new clutch can go it. I just don't know where to go to get this done. If anyone has suggestions for this please let me know.
I'm South of Boston so somewhere in that general area would be good, but i'll do some driving to go to a good place _________________ 1987 Porsche 924s (summer project)

I'm not from the Boston area but around here you can usually find a CarQuest or a NAPA with a flywheel grinder. It aint rocket science and they can usually do it in half an hour or so. Just make a few phone calls.
Just don't let anyone talk you into letting them "turn it" on a lathe or brake lathe. make sure they "grind it" on a dedicated flywheel grinder.

thanks. I didn't realize places like NAPA would do it. I'll start making calls. Hopefully i'll have the car living again soon. _________________ 1987 Porsche 924s (summer project)
