Yellow-tan color and glazed insulator indicate too-hot.
White with minimal deposits is normal.
Excessive white deposits can be oil leaking past rings or valve seals, or too-thin oil viscosity.

So far we removed the head and the gasket is fine and no leaks. I drained the gas as I had some race fuel in it and think maybe this was it. I will change the plugs.

Any other guesses.

normally burning coolant is white
oil burning has a bluish tinge... sure of the color ??

with the higher octane were you running different timing??
unburnt fuel would still come out black...

more likely a cracked block or leaky head... possible the valve stem seals are starting wearing out...

It was a very small failure in the head gasket.
