Came across this on E-bay: Zucc power flow.
It fit on top of the air metering plate and is claimed to improve the air flow around it.
Anyone seen this before or know anything about it?
Just curious... _________________ 1985 Porsche 924 'Lux', Kalahari Beige (my ex)

I'm guessing it's just as effective as the "Tornado"? _________________ -1977 924, 4-Spd...Gone

You've never heard of the Tornado?? O_O
Maybe it's just a US thing...but it is one of the biggest gimmicks in history...It doesn't do anything that thee manufacturer claims...in fact in most tests, it was found to be a restriction in the intake path.

Interesting.
It seems as though if it does what it claims, it'll cause your car to run lean. Decreasing the drag of the air metering plate will cause it to deflect less than a conventional plate for the same air flow, which is not what you want.
Also, it will increase the mass of the air metering plate, and without increasing the mass of the counterweight on the other side, this will again cause the plate to deflect a different amount than stock for the same air flow.
Gimmick extrordinare if you ask me. _________________ 78 924 NA
