With the car cold and clutch depressed, Shaggy's T.O.B. squeaks like a herd of mice. Imminent failure? Any way to sneak some lube in there without major disassembly?

waaaaaaaaah!

Yes, I've had this one happen too, a few years ago.
As soon as I noticed it, I backed 'er right back up the driveway and left it until I could experiment.
I used a spray can of some stuff I already had called "Super Lube" ("multi purpose synthetic lubricant with Syncolon (PTFE). In a silver can, made by Synco chemical corp. www.super-lube.com part no. 31110
I used the supplied extension tube plus another extension from pieces that were lying around in the garage to make a total of about 1.5' of extension, went in through the clutch inspection hole with it and with the end in there on the throwout bearing, gave a few well aimed and conservation squirts. That did the trick and it's been good since.

Nice! I'll give that a try, thanks, Dog (as always).
