Hey guys,
Before I put my engine back in, I am considering changing the clutch if need be.
Im not sure if the previous owner has done this already,
Ok and now for the probably extremly silly question.
How many MM thick is a new clutch, I am not sure how worn out it is, and dont want to change it if it does not need it..

For the turbo, yes - new is 8.1mm, wear limit is 6.3mm thick.
For the NA, wear limit is 8.5mm, 10.1-10.4mm thick is the thickness of the new clutch disk.
(the above per the factory tech specs manual). _________________ Vaughan Scott

My clutch is knackered then... (8mm N/A) but it's not slipping yet so I'll ignore it some more. _________________ 1994 Lotus Esprit S4 - Work in progress...

Thanks guys,
I will take a ruler down in a minute.
Good progress was made today, all the wiring on the engine side is now in order, the whole engine is ready to be dropped in as soon as the oil pan gasket arrives (and maybe the clutch but we will see)
The passengar side engine mount got twisted when taking the engine out, a bacardi and coke and a big hammer with help of a vice quickly sorted that out. Thankfully the spring in the middle of it is all intact.
A few parts of the interior were tidied up, and now I am in need of a set of 3 point rear seatbelts and rear quarter trim.
Back in a minute, fingers crossed to avoid yet another bill _________________ When the checkered flag drops... The Bull$hit Stops
