Is an 83 944 interior the same as the 80 924? When I get my 24 painted I want to change interior color from brown to black. I have a 44 with most of the parts I'll need with a few exceptions. The main items I'm conceren are door panels, carpet, back seat, and side panels.
The dash I plan to have recovered to change the color and get rid of the cracks.
Also does anyone make floor mats with the Porsche crest on them?
Thanks. |

| Something I noted, www.gt-racing.com has a fiberglass late 944/968 dash, with none of the cutouts for anything cut yet.. They want around $230 for it, I think. You could just add a 944 or 968 console to that, and have the late dash setup in a 924. |

I think Vaughan was saying you can't put the later style in because of some dimension differences between the two that prevent the dash from fitting. And I think all the heater/AC equipment is different also. Not to mention the electronic speedo.
I'm just finishing putting a 944 interior in. Just have the glove box left to do. It's an easy and good fit on everything. I've got pictures if you want them. Drop me an email. |

coconutcowboy: No the front panel is in real bad shape PO liked to part by brail. I haven't decided what I'm going to do with the 44 yet. I'm thinking of rebuilding it after the 24 so I'm not parting it out.
D Hook: So every thing fits ok from a 44? I'm not looking forward to pulling and installing 2 dashes. I have to keep the 44 in driveable condition. Thanks. |
