When I installed the alternator shroud, then hook up the battery, I get some sparking, like the leads out the back of the alternator are grounding on the shroud. Has anyone else had this issue? My fix was to back out the bolt nearest to the wiring out about 1 turn. I also wrapped part of the shroud with electrical tape, but that didn’t help once the bolts were fully tightened. _________________ Rob

I had a big spark whil;e trying to install my shroud. Forgot to disconnect the battery. I would check the wire routing and make sure its all nice and insulated. _________________ 1994 Lotus Esprit S4 - Work in progress...

Make sure your bolts that hold the shroud in are not too long, otherwise they will arc internally.

PET says M6x12 so I'll make sure I have those. I'll also check the wiring too. _________________ Rob
