I have an 924 from 1980. My front calipers need replacing. I don't want to change to 5 lug 944 brakes.
What options are there ? _________________ 937 trackday car

IIRC the audi 100 has 4x108 and has similar calipers...but i cant tell you that they are identical. _________________ Supercharger and EFI kits

Aren't they also the same as the 944/M471/5-lug rear calipers? _________________ Vaughan Scott

ok so i've dont research and tests:
The 924 4lug front caliper is NOT the same as the rear 5lug caliper. They look almost the same but they are different.
I tryed to use a front 4lug caliper on the rear arms and the disc is too big and to thick. _________________ Supercharger and EFI kits

You can use Audi calipers and they are a bolt on. I used them with VW passat brak carriers (the same brake disc diameter as 924 and the same disc thickness).
Now I also have Audi A4 calipers at the rear with Audi 100 4x108 discs but fitting them was not as easy as the front.

jurasT, we would all be interested in more details about this conversion...would you be willing to write up a basic how-to, that would include the required parts and modifications? _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |
