|
|
Does anyone know of a source for alternator bushings that are reasonably priced? I really hate to fork over alot of money to Performance Products. I only need the rubber bits.
Thanks,

If you don't like the skateboard bushing trick you'll likely not like this either, but in similar situations (needing rubber bushings) I just make my own by stuffing various sizes of hose that fit, one into the next to come up with something close with roughly the same OD and an ID that'll fit the bolt.
-But in your specific situation being in need of 924NA alternator bushings, I'd go with hard plastic replacements (delrin, nylon, or whatever). I believe the factory recommended replacements for the original rubber bushings are plastic, right? Autozone I know sells plastic stabilizer bar end-link bushings in a package of about 8 for $10-$15 that I'm pretty sure I'd be able to adapt to use as alternator bushings.. _________________ "..it's made in Germany. Why not try your local authorized Porsche Dealer?
Performance Products is only one a few Independent Sellers who has a contract to purchase directly from Porsche. But their prices are often higher than buying from a Porsche Dealer. |
