did anyone else here bid on the steering hub adaptor boss kit that was available?
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330144142573&ssPageName=ADME:B:ONA:AU:11
i did, and lost, then almost imediately afterwards recieve a second chance offer
now this seems a little dodgy to me. did anyone else get an offer. i assume the seller has a box of them to try and get rid of.
considering automotion want 78US for a momo adaptor, and 60US for a dino one plus shipping it still doesnt sound like a bad buy, i'm just wary of rip off merchants.
anyone got any comments? _________________ 1978 924 N/A

I never respond to a second chance offer since it usually means the seller or one of his buddies won the auction. _________________ White 87 924S "Ghost"

Yes Ozzie.
This is sus now.
The same thing happened to me 2 weeks ago unless I was outbid by Steeny`s automatic bid in the last 5 seconds.
I asked this seller about 924 hubs about a month ago before he carried them as i was chasing a wheel too. He replied "sorry i dont have them".
I lost on a momo wheel on US ebay and picked up another cool looking cheapie from Smart shopping on line Au. and by then this seller had the hubs in stock. After losing I got a 2nd chance offer but asked him about his VW hub that was the same number but a VW prefix instead of PO. and still $35. He never replied. I thought "#uck this" , so cut and welded one myself. It works well!
Looks like a rort now.
Is there any point reporting it to ebay though, I`ll back you if you do.
Personally I have no time for scammers or rip offs with shipping.
Take your money elsewhere.

yeah, thats it. my bet is that he offered it to everyone who bid over his reserve. probably got 100 made up for a few cents and is trying to get as many out at possible
anyway, i dont think i'll bother. i'll look into whats available locally that can be made to work, otherwise, i'll order one next time i have to order parts from O/S.
cheers guys _________________ 1978 924 N/A
