Yes the cuvinete spoon engine, Known for it's "GODLY" redline of 14500 rpm's. The car cranks out arouns 230 Hp, and 225 Tq. So I know the transaxle can handle it Hp and Tq wise, but could it stand the high rpm's? This is just A thought I got, cause I'm a big fan of the 1995 (I think thats the year) Yellow Spoon Civic Hatchback. The yellow one, with the true carbon fibre hood. But yeah, Just rant and rave, just a thought to chew on. _________________ What i own:

You might have a few issues with gearing ....mmmm.....a 924 that could do over 60mph in 1st gear......it would probably get there in about 15 seconds too!!! _________________ Andrew

So you saying, drop that engine in, I would proably hit 60 in 1st. In around 15 seconds, that would be nice. But I wonder what the thing would hit max. I say proably 175 (If i'm really lucky.) But see Doy you think it would work good? Plus you wouldn't have to shift at red line. But yeah keep the idea's a coming _________________ What i own:

Sorry, my sarcasm obviously didn't work!!
To put it simply, the gearing would be wrong for that engine to work.
My son's 1st generation civic has the wrong box in it and has a theoretical top speed of 250kph. It will never do that speed without 4 times the power (max speed is about 150 at the moment) and is slow to accellerate. When we swap the right box in it will only have a theoretical top speed of about 160kph, but will be able to get there easily, and will get there a lot quicker. _________________ Andrew

| the honda motor spins the wrong way you would have 1 forward and 4 or 5 reverse gears depending on if you have a 4 or 5 speed. the only honda motor you might be able to use would be the one in the s2000 not sure which direction it spins. but hey if you want to go backwards really fast go for it |

Reduction stuff used on VW bugs to fit a subaru engine could work probably.
These reverse the rotation and can change the ratio between in- and output.
Dont know if they can handle the power, I believe they're used on the suspension on bugs, the 'final' drive so to speak. _________________ "Rule: Turbo's make torque, and torque makes fun." (C. Bell)
