Hey guys, I've been fiddlin with little things on the toofah and that led me too the windshield wipers. I think that I have some wiring issues because this is what happens.

with the relay in:

all the way down - intermitten (when it stops they're halfway up)
up one - off
up one more - on (continuos)
all the way up - off

with the relay out:

all the way down - off
up one - off
up one more - on (continuos)
all the way up - off

and this is on a 1978 N/A North American model.

If anybody has any guesses as to my problem, it would be appreciated.

Sounds like you have a bad motor.

There's some wiper troubleshooting here -

including how to check the motor alone.

All the way up is fast wipe.
I would say bad connections on the motor.
Pull the multi plug and clean it.
