I have read about it but can't find it. I had my head under the dash down by the cluch looking behind the fuse box with a flash lihgt but about all I could see was a mess of wires going threw the wall and a leeky master cluch cylinder that I have been puting off. can some one direct me to a pic of what I am looking for? _________________ Red 1987 924S with plans for D Productions Kit

The main ground is behind the fuse relay...the look like crowns. Im sorry, I cannot give you a picture... . If your on your back looking straigt up at the fuse box, scoot back a little and you should see two crown looking things attached to the body slightly below the wiper motor area. Hope this helps _________________ =====>Alex<=====

Thanks for the pics makes it much easer to know what I am looking for! | Its not to hard to reach...It might help if you removed the fuse box. It shouldnt be to hard to do. Just take off one screw, and lift & pull. Iam not sure what you should do for regrounging. I would just clean the grounds up with sand paper. It will take some work, but it should come out well. Anybody want to give a second opinion? _________________ =====>Alex<=====

I have been puting electrical grease such as used on spark plug wires on conections that I have been servicesing. It seams to help.
From what I had read before It souded like there were grounding screws to retighten. mayby I am thinking of the fuel level sender. _________________ Red 1987 924S with plans for D Productions Kit

I just got done doing mine on my 77.5 and it was too bad. Taking that screw out of the fuse box and lifting it off the mount and towards you a little will give you more room to work better, but you do have to get way down there to get to it.
IIRC my head was pretty much resting on the clutch pedal. I used a little stiff steel brush and removed each wire and cleaned up the ends one by one and cleaned the contacts on the ring and then used some vaseline on them before putting them back on. That seemed to do wonders for all my gauges. I'm getting ready to do it on my fuel sender contacts as well and hopefully get more of the same results. Have fun, you may need a beer to help your sore shoulder when you're done _________________ Michael

I plan on cleaning them, but are they terrible, or ok? _________________ =====>Alex<=====

2fast, I would definitely clean your contacts. Getting rid of all the white corrosion will help more than you think. They don't look horrible but a good cleaning would help. Especially the ring on the right, you can see all the build-up right on the connections. If you come across any of them are a little loose, give them a little squeeze with some pliers to tightened them up. I would then put some vaseline or elect grease on them to help prevent this in the future. Have fun! _________________ Michael
