It certainly looks like the right part, but the price...! _________________ 1985 Porsche 924 'Lux', Kalahari Beige (my ex)

P.S. it could also be a leaky pressure regulator valve in the fuel dist.
...and it's always worth checking the accumulator for leaks (undo the tiny screw in the bottom). _________________ 1985 Porsche 924 'Lux', Kalahari Beige (my ex)

Ok thanks, yea does seem a little pricey for the Check valve, GSF (German Sweedish French) told me it would be £4.65 but it would take over 2 weeks. I have the part number as being 911 608 140 00 but that ebay one says 944 608 951 01. They seem to harder to get hold of than rocking horse sh*t in the UK.
I will check the accumlator anyway just to be sure, before i saw the receipt saying it had been replaced GSF quoted me £49.99 for a new one, it seems really cheap to me but they seem to have the part number correct. (931 110 140 00).
If its none of the above i will move onto the pressure regulator valve.

Are you sure they quoted you for the right part?
I bought one from GSF a few months ago and it cost £108! _________________ 1985 Porsche 924 'Lux', Kalahari Beige (my ex)

Price on the check valve seems about right, I paid around $30 canadian for one from a Porsche dealer a few years back. 50 quid is a good price for the fuel accumulator. _________________ 1987 951 - M193 Version for Japan |

| It seems i should have ordered when i had the chance, I phoned back for the check valve and was told it was £9.85, i pointed out i was told £4.65 previously. I was speaking to a different person and they checked... He told me it was a mistake and £9.85 is the correct price. I'm assuming the previous assistant quoted me the price they pay or something. I didnt ask about the accumulator but i guess it the same applies. So £108 would seem about right. |

Dont forget to check or replace the seal in the pressure regulator in the fuel distributor.
On the NA it is a small 'O" ring. 911 110 936 00 _________________ Porsche 924 1984 (UK import) NA

it never rains it pours eh?
I jumped in the car last night to put it up on ramps and there was nothing when i turned it over...turns out the starter motor has gone, probably due to all the cranking with the hot start. I have one on the way from ebay..
So i jacked it up, poked my head under the car and saw the Banjo bolt to the check valve was totally rusted and i can't find the part no for it, i looked in the parts catalogue on the "sticky" and it doesnt seem to show it. |

Not sure which part you're refering to here, Jim.
The check valve is effectively what would be the banjo bolt on a normal coupling, i.e. the hollow bit with holes in the sides.
Do you mean the banjo coupling on the end of the fuel hose or, perhaps, the cap nut that holds this onto the check valve? _________________ 1985 Porsche 924 'Lux', Kalahari Beige (my ex)

The cap nut can normally be removed even if it's quite rusty, and then cleaned up. Smoothie has managed to find what may be a source of new cap nuts.
The banjo coupling on the end of the fuel hose can't be separately replaced; you will need a complete new hose. I got a replacement made at a local hydraulics specialist (not cheap - £35). _________________ 1985 Porsche 924 'Lux', Kalahari Beige (my ex)
