question this time.

I have the 85MHP speedometer, and the odometer just quit, I think I pushed in the reset to hard, and when I did CRACK , so I'm looking at a 944 cluster, it has a 170MPH gauge. can I just swap it out, what I'm asking is is the step up or step down gear in the speedo, or do i need to swap the cable and other things..


Also do I need to drop the steering colum to get out the cluster?

So, you are really going to need to start using the search function, and get a shop manual. . .just a bit of friendly advice!
