ok, i intially thought i must have an AAV problem, then realised that i'm a moron, and i'm nowhere near the AAV.
what i really have a problem with appears to be the system control regulator. if i plug it in (green plug under the fuel dizzy), the car will spark, but not run, because the fuel pump stops running. with the plug just disconnected, the fuel pump wont run. if i jumper the plug, the car starts and runs fine.
what can i do. i really dont want to dissasemble the fuel dizzy, cuase that sounds like it may be just a little beyond my current abilities. _________________ 1978 924 N/A

You need to adjust or replace the switch in your air box. It senses when the air flap opens and signals the fuel pump to start. It is a safety feature that shuts the fuel pump off when the motor is not running. A nice feature after a crash....

ok, so just to be clear, i can remove the 6 hex head bolts that hold everything to the airbox without screwing something up?
then i should be able to see what it is that needs replacing?
is it something that i can simply replace with a new switch from radioshack/jaycar electronics? or is it something thats gonna be hard to find?
cheers guys
i promise i'm learning as i go, its just gonna be slow as i get my head around all this CIS stuff _________________ 1978 924 N/A
