I have a line on an '81 924 Turbo in near perfect condition. The paint is the bronze/champagne color, black leather interior in near perfect condition. It's a standard transmission of course.
He's asking $4900 Canadian, my budget for a car was originally 4000. 4900 CAD is about 4300 USD.
He's been listing it at +5000 until recently and he's starting to drop it now.
I kind of really want this vehicle but my main constraint is I don't physically have 5000$ to spend on the car at the exact (christmas) moment so . . .
He does not have a service history of it at all but the condition of the vehicle speaks for itself, it's been taken care of.
I'm not really too concerned about the 'consumable' parts i.e. water pump, timing belt, rubber clutch pad whatever it's called. I plan to basically just replace all of that within the first month or so since it'll cost under 100bucks, just a lot of time.
Would you say it's worth it or not?
Here's some pics..

I have seen the ads for this car but have not gone to see it myself.
However is the car worth it. That is something only you can answer. _________________ 3 928s, |

The parts alone for the clutch job usually exceeds $500. _________________ White 87 924S "Ghost"

Looks like a repaint. Along with no history, I'd say the seller is being less than honest... _________________ 1980 931S

The impact strip is missing along the doors/body. Dead giveaway! _________________ 1980 931S

Is this car in B.C.? Could it be the one me, Keno and Lizard looked at a while back?
Someone may have bought it, got it running and is trying to double his money... _________________ '80 924 Turbo |
