Is the camshaft for all N/A years the same? Is a good (not worn) camshaft a good thing to have as a spare part?
Are the gauge light bulbs Porsche parts or just go to a local APS to get them? _________________ Rob

Camshaft is the same for all 924 and even 931, all years.
I don't think the bulbs are unique to Porsche, they are likely common to most cars of that vintage. _________________ 1987 951 - M193 Version for Japan |

I just had all my guages out and the wedge type bulbs in the tacho and speedo are standard bulbs and you can get them in 1.2w, 2w and 2.3watts.
I just changed mine over to 2.3w and huge difference in brightness.
The main guage (fuel/temp etc) has all 1.2w fittings and the bulbs are soldered into the holder.
I am not sure but dont think these can be any higher wattage. _________________ Porsche 924 1984 (UK import) NA

| Early 77 US spec cars had a different cam. I have a good early cam in my pile of spares and you can see a big difference in the lift. The early 77's had 95hp (US spec). |
