Hi folks. I'm looking to install some Euro bumpers on my car, however, I don't have the mounts. In the picture below, I have put a red box around what I think is one of the front mounts. I would need a pair of these for the front bumper.

Also, from PET, I can't tell what the rear bumper mounts are like for the Euro cars. Does anyone know? If they differ from the North American mounts I would need these as well.

Anyone willing to sell me a complete set of mounts for front and rear and ship to Canada?

heres a side by side of us vs euro mounts, not a great pic, but the euro mount is on the right, little buggers. they are designed to collapse, but really, theres not much too them and don't offer any impact protection worthy of discussion (just something to keep in mind.) Fabricating your own out of aluminum or something would probably be much less expensive, and just as effective imho.

924guy, could you take a pic of the euro mount and attach some physical dimensions onto the picture, maily from the face plate which mounts on the car to the center line of the hole which the bumper bolt goes through.

as that dimension will be required to build them out of aluminum or the likes.

hello chrenan,
Part no. is 477807131 A and you will need 4 ea at the front, plus 8 Bolts M9x20, plus 8 Washers A9.
The parts won`t be to expensive and easy to get at your local porsche dealer.

Wow, those things are tiny. I'd still like to get originals. Thanks for all suggestions.

i never understood why you guys make such a big fuss about these mounts...are the US mounts THAT different ?

the euro mounts are SO simple...you could even make them at home.

You see these come up all the time on eBay over here, described as 'bumper irons'. Never really looked to see what price they go for.

BTW Nobbi, they're held on with M8 bolts (not M9 ) and the bolt that holds the bumper on is M10.

BTW I wouldn't pay 15 quid for a ropey pair like that.

Just checked with the new parts catalog (April 2005)

The Bolts are M8 X 16 (PN:90007508702) for mod.76 to 79

for mod.1980 and later M8 X 20 (PN:90007507902).

Washers are the same A8 (PN: 90002701502)

So,the question is what year? Size does matter.
