Hi all,
been a while since I posted, but I have a spare day finally and if the weather is OK on Fri I'll be attempting to remove the inlet manifold to ease the removal of the cyl head. (all the exhaust/wastegate/pressure pipes already out of the way)
what's involved in removal of the inlet mani? (I'm sure its in the Haynes BOL, but I'm at work and musing!) _________________ 1998 BMW Z3 2.8 arctic silver & red

Its super easy. Remove the TB and all the lines to the WUR, decel valve, brake booster line, cold start valve, all that vacuum operated crud. Then remove the triangle support bracket below the manifold followed by the connection to the turbo recirculation valve which can be a bit annoying if the hose clip is facing the wrong way. Then its just the bolts holding the manifold to the head and its free. _________________ 1979 931 with a 350 chev
