Integral cams is a good source.

http://www.integralcams.com/924.htm

Someone had one for sale a while ago. There is another post on camshafts right now on one of the threads, so you might want to check that out.

Just breather filters, those lines probably ran into the stock air box, which is only half existant in the picture..

At one time I had the info re Schneidercams for a 924. Dont remember now so, question:

Do they put a hard surface on the cam face? I have known of 924 Schneidercams that have failed apparently because the lobes were ground without adequate hard surfacing. The stock hardening is not very deep. Easy to go through it.

What did you have to do to get the lifter clearance back? The smaller base circle of the re-grind must at least require some new adjusting screws (at $7 each).

How much?

Nice thing about the Integral is it simply drops in. With any luck at all you can use the old adjusting screws.

ground cams come with little lifter plates which you put under the tappet ontop of the valve stem to take up the extra clearance

Lizard
Is that the same with the integral cams also? They made it sound as though it (stage 1) was pretty much a direct replacement.
thanks

Integral Cam's are not grinds, they are new cam's machined from new billet.

new is better.

when the cam is reground the surfaces the touch the follower need to be rehardend so that they dont wear, if they dont harden it properly the cam with be destroyed quickly and will take all the followers out, not worth it imo

I had a camshaft reground and not rehardened properly.... I can say new is better. The reground camshaft worn 3 lobes right off.
