You should be able to buy soundproofing material. Just go to your automotive parts place and ask them where you could get some. I doubt anyone makes exact replacements and it surely wouldn't be worth buying from Porsche.
Hope this helps,

thank you, in effects i already found tha material adaptable for the substitution of the original soundproof.. (http://www.mcmantom.com/prodotti/trattamenti_acustici/06.40.01/)
but I wanted to know if I could find it equal to original item...
however... the same one goes well

Consider using insulation with foil backing to reduce the amount of heat transmitted to the inside; I found my first 924 had the problem where a lot of heat came through the firewall. When re-doing the interior of my 82 931 I put new insulation with the foil backing (bought from the hardware store, used for insulating water heaters and the like) underneath the carpet. It's also nice in that you can find thinner pieces for use under the pedals.
Worked great, now the inside of the car doesn't get heated up in the summer.
Now I have to do the same to my racecar; nearly burn my right foot on the center tunnel while standing on the gas!!! _________________ Vaughan Scott

no dynamat, because i want to maintain the car most possible as it was in origin..
the material of the product that I have found is not equal to original them but it is approached to it.
thanks anyway |
