If you are going to be heading south out of Wichita, let me know and I'll buy the beer. Bet Zuffen would like to get together also.

The boss just confirmed that I will be coming down he just isn't sure when. I'm guessing in about a week or so.
Sweet this is gonna be awsome. I'll be working at the Boeing plant there helping set up the fixtures for production of the new 777 / 787. I will definitely post before I leave to get phone numbers and to tell you all where i'm staying. _________________ 1979 Euro 931, Olive

So here i am in middle America. Honestly my pre-conceived ideas about what it would be like went totally out the window. Wichita is awsome. The eye candy here is incredible and that's saying ALOT considering what i'm used to.
Sorry to the guys I was supposed to meet in Oklahoma but I have to work right through the weekend. So we're working on the fixtures for the new 787 Dreamliner a new, 100% carbon fibre plane.
Man I wish I could use some of this technology on my car, she'd only end up weighing like 10 lbs. Gotta love the aerospace industry. _________________ 1979 Euro 931, Olive

The entire body of the 10 cylinder Carrera Gt weighs less than 300 pounds. The motor weighs more at 472 pounds.

Carbon fiber in planes? How strong is carbon fiber? I thought that it got somewhat brittle over time...A friend of mine rides a carbon fiber racing bike, and I think they 'go bad' within a few years. Thats a great idea for planes tho, nice and light, probly could get the plane off the ground pretty quickly.
