So I got my CDR-220, which also was send to me with an amp. Is the CDR-220 not a powered deck? or is the amp just extra for premium sound...I also was disappointed to find out that it was not shipped with a wiring harness or the code card. So I don't have the wiring harness for my car or this new deck, but the CDR-220 does have a diagram on the top that says what all the pins do. Is there a way I can make my own wiring harness? I tried posting pictures of everything I got and an extra of the outside of my car because I haven't done that yet _________________ 1980 931 |

Bring the deck into radio shack or your local electronics store, and look for a plug in that resembles what you have there(may have to put 2 of them together) and then just run wires out and connect them to the mess of wires in your car(I'm betting they are a mess from the PO, mine were!)
Looks like a nice deck!
I have no idea if the deck needs the amp or if the amp is extra. Where did you get everything from? _________________ [This Space For Rent] |

You don't need the amp if you don't want it, it's a powered deck.
Those plugs are standard and available in almost any electronics store.
Isn't the code written on the CDR-220's case somewhere? it should be 5-digit code. _________________ '83 924 2.6 16v Turbo, 470hp

es, looks like the two lower is standard ISO, one for power and the other for the speakes. The top connector is for cd-changer etc. I would think the amp should be connected to this as well. _________________ -=Torro=- |

I got some plugs that fit the back of the CDR-220 but before I go hooking everything up I want to make sure I do it right. The car has some aftermarket (Rockford Fosgate) speaker wire and then some stock wiring. Can someone tell me what wire is for what (Im looking in the factore shop manuals and can't find a proper diagram). I want to try and do this right the first time so any help would be great! Also, I think I read on a Becker board that you can change the software of the deck to alter viewing angles and such, does anyone have an experience with this? Again, any help is much appreciated! Thanks a lot. Cory _________________ 1980 931 |

Here is the install. Everything works good. I like the look, pretty stock looking. _________________ 1980 931 |
