Hey guys, I figured that I would show you guys a few pictures from my job today.

http://www.geocities.com/cjensan928s/work/IMG_0346.JPG

as you can see the size of the trucks and just think that the salmon glacier is another .75 of a mile away from the trucks you can get a slight idea of the size, this is just outside of Stewart BC, or Hyder Alaska.

http://www.geocities.com/cjensan928s/work/IMG_0310.JPG

this is at the base of the glacier and was a fairly massive cave, with this piece of ice which had just not melted yet.

http://www.geocities.com/cjensan928s/work/IMG_0266.JPG

this water fall was only 1/4 of the entire waterfall, that is one of my work crew standing at the top to give you an idea of scale, he is about 6'2" this is halfway between the trucks and the glacier.

I also figured I would finally tell you guys that I am actually engaged, and here is a picture of the engagement ring which we have had made

we have used a blue sapphire for two reasons, neither of us like diamonds and the sapphire was the origonal celtic engagement stone.

we havent set a date yet but we have decided to hold the wedding over in the UK, probably at an old castle of some sort having abit of a medevil theme.

I have actually driven the 81 928 up here to Stewart BC, though obviously havent taken it out to the job site here, or staging point I should say. It was a spectacular drive up and I had no issues, though it did take a significantly less amount of time to get here than it should have

hope you enjoyed the pics, and I will be probably adding more once we get drilling, and camp setup as we will be overlooking 2 glacier fields.

Very cool pics, congrats on the engagement, and nice ring! A friend of mine has a sapphire ring too, IIRC... nice choice!

Wow, nice pics and congrats on the engagement.

My wife and I also had a sapphire engagement ring made for her. She isn't a big fan of diamond rings, and also Chrenan is an old Gaelic name, so you can guess where my family is from.

Thanks guys, the views up here are absolutely STUNNING esp from within the helicopter flying over the glaciers, but you really cannot grasp the shear size of the glaciers until you stand at the base, or walk in one of the caves/crevases.

thanks for the congrats on the engagement, and I had chosen the design that I had wanted before I asked her, but I wasnt about to go ahead and get the ring without her approval of the design, we had it custom made at a local jeweller and the detail is absolutely stunning, the stone that is in it is a .86 ct and is flawless, and well lets just say that the price of the stone seemed alittle steep, but it is definetly worth it,

and both of our families come out of that area, hers are abit more to the welsh side, where as mine were from scotland, Ireland and england.

To any of you that are interested in traveling to see some pretty amazing things, I would definetly recommend Stewart BC, which is right beside Hyder Alaska, and there is a company called Prism Helicopters and you can hire them to fly you over the glaciers and see some truely amazing things,

some of the fields are at the narrowest spot 12 MILES wide, and have crevases that are hundreds upon hundreds of feet deep, overall I would guess that the glaciers are probably well over 2 miles deep in alot of places too.

The area that we are drilling is alot higher than this, at 6000ft elevation, but it is interesting as you can see small gold veins in most of the rocks just laying on the ground, there is a small amount of mica in some of the rock as well.
