Since I bought the car, the fuel pump runs with a switch under the dash.
This week I bought a other fuel relay. Today I look down to the relais board and saw the old relay. When i look closer (pull it out) i see 6 pins on the relais!!!
And it don`t match with the connections on the relay board. When i took my new relay i look again closer, i saw this one is matching the connections and its have 5 pins..
I put back the old one in the relay board because i dont know wich relay is good for de car. At 924.org i saw the part number of the relay, and my new relay is matching the number..But has anyone a description of the relay with pictures?
Thanks in advice _________________ Porsche 924 Euro 1977 |

The relays are often not located on the relay panel where they are supposed to be.
At the same time, you also mentioned that the wiring has been altered, so maybe someone stuck the wrong relay in the fuel pump relay socket.
What I would do if I were you would be the check the other relays to see if any of them have the correct part number for the fuel pump relay. then I would check the wiring of the socket where you think the fuel pump relay should be plugged in and the wiring of any other socket that you find that has a relay with the correct part number for the fuel pump relay against the wiring diagram for the car to determine which one socket is wired for the fuel pump, and check that socket to make sure that it is completely wired up correctly for the fuel pump relay. |
