|
|
I can NOT remove the bolt that runs through the pivot on the front right control arm, front mount. i have the nut off and the bolt seems to have become ONE with the bushing or something as it will not twist independently from the control arm pivoting. i have pounded the end of the bolt with a rod and hammer it is not budging. i am so pissed off at my car right now

Being careful not to burn anything else, heat the bolt until the rubber starts to smoke, then drive it out with a BF hammer and punch. _________________ White 87 924S "Ghost"

The bolt is probably rusted to the steel sleeve inner liner of the bushing... _________________ Vaughan Scott

Might be the easiest if you have access to a die grinder. At least buy a new bolt - just press out and replace the bushing, not necessarily requiring a new arm... _________________ Vaughan Scott

Ground off the ends of the bolt ( which took FOREVER) and dropped it out of the mount on the crossmember. man that bolt would NOT come out, ended up pressing out the whole bushing with the bolt still in it. Ordered a whole new set of a-arm bushings online things cost over 80 bucks!
