Well I enlisted a buddys help to start getting some of the maintenence done on the new car. We found the timing belt was off a tooth and the balance shaft belt was of by 4. Took it to a local shop and they ran a leakdown test. 98 on cyl 1 and 3 93 on cyl 2 and 4 so I think I dodged a bullet on that one. We were using his garage to do some of the work. The passenger side door handle doesnt really work so great. My friend races a mk2 16v GTI with the SCCA and I was poking around the car and noticed that from the outside at least the door handles are the same as the 924!. He offered to give me one off one of his parts cars for a very reasonable price. (Buy him a beer sometime) Will this handle work? Ive seen enough VW/Audi logos while working on the car that it doesnt seem like too much of a stretch. Thanks in advance!!

No, while they look the same VW handles will not work.
VWs use levers to press against other levers, no link rods.
Porsches use link rods to connect to the door lock and latch. |
