Hello... i have a just bought a beautiful 1985 924 and i love it allready but the oil pressure gauge does not work. the standard oil pressure light on the main panel works fine, but the one reading the actual pressure goes all the way to 10 when you switch on the power and it stays there it does not come down to read the actual pressure when the engine is running, will it be the sender opr the gauge is theis a comman falt? thank you for any help at all, regards Martin |

Hi, welcome aboard.
First check the sender itself to see if its' contacts are grounding - there's some alumin[i]um foil insulation on the firewall less than an inch from the sender that can bend down and touch the contacts. The sender is behind the cylinder head, between it and the firewall. _________________ "..it's made in Germany. You know the Germans always make good stuff."

Yep, shell went on ebay for £90 they picked it up - 931 series2 shell with spare block, gearbox, all panels, most of the glass, five lug setup still on it and the turbo wheels and all the disc brake parts! - someone got a bargain if they have enough spare time and several wire brushes!
Will set up a meet when you're back - am off to the dyno on Sat, though my n/a is still not running as well as it could at least the dyno will help with where to start, as well as the chance to ogle some top modded/tuned 951 examples
