|
|
Hey people....its been a long time since i last posted pics of my project car.
Its a 1983 EURO 924 NA with 924 Carrera GT rear arches, 944 front fenders and custom front bumper and side skirts.
The engine was not tuched yet...but the brakes come from a 944S...so they are all vented disks.
The pictures are taken today at the paint shop...i still have to mount some things back on the car as you can see.
Now all i need to complete the project is...16" 8J Fuchs and a Turbo engine&transmision.

Looks great! I love the freshly detailed/painted look! All you need to do is polish the rims, and drop in your engine, and you"ll be cookin with gas! I cant wait to see is at 100% looks awesome already!

obviously not a street legal car with no front turn signal assemblies,
the front bumper isnt my fave but if it is only going to be track use with a proper engine undertray might be worth it.
glad to see the time being spent on the cars regardless though, be nice to see it finished. _________________ 3 928s, |

Yes for now its not street legal but i will make it. Turn signals and driving lights go in the bottom holes in the bumper. I will use custom semi-circle turn lights.
The rear arches were glued on then bolted on and covered with filler so they are preety strong stuck to the body. The same goes for the sideskirts.
I hope that i made the right choice for the sideskirts and front bumper. Initialy i wanted a original GT nose..but....jeez...over 500 EUR and this one looks preety good to me too.
Yes will polish the rims but i need fuchs...i need 8J fuchs because the cutters dont fill the rear arches tough i'm using 2x21mm spacers per weel !!!
Here is a photoshoped picture of how the rear weels should fill the rear arches...this picture instantly says PORSCHE to me

Here are some pics of the car all mounted up...its still not street-legal but it will be in a few days...i replaced the steering rack today...the old one was shot...badly !
I've located a set of 15" Fuchs...i guess the 15" ones were designed for the 914, eh ? were these 15" fuchs made 8J wide ? the guy that sells the fuchs says that the rims are 15", 7J wide on the front and 8J on the rear.
Going to check on the Fuchs in a couple of days...i realy hope they are what i'm looking for...
The 200sx car is a friend and a competitor on the track.

Wow, I'm still in awe. I'll tell ya, when 924's are sitting next to other cars, it just makes our cars look so much better. Good luck finding your Fuchs rims.
Ryan
ps-Did ya'll know that you pronounce fuchs "fooks"? It means fox in german. _________________ 1978 924 NA
