Hey...I've been reading the board for some six months and I finaly decided to sign up.
Last October I bought a 1978 NA 924 and decided to do a complete rebuild. I tore it apart, sorted all the bodywork issues and started to do an engine rebuild. The engine is now completed and it is waiting to go back in the car. There is only one small problem...I seem to be missing the needle bearing that goes into the crankshaft and supports the driveshaft. Since original Porsche parts are virtually impossible to locate in Belgrade (at least for 924/944/928) I must find the right bearing by dimensions. Can anyone tell me what are the dimensions of the needle bearing? I managed to measure the inner and outer diameter (15 and 18 mm if I measured it right) but I haven't a clue what the width might be...
BTW the board is great and there is lots of usefull info
I will take some pics of my car and post them soon. _________________ 1978 Porsche 924, Euro, NA |
