Only one of my cylinders is firing yet they all have compression and fuel and spark. I even tried adding starting fuel to them and still only the one is starting. I have even checked the firing order three times. What do you all think is the problem is? _________________ The Porsche is now my son's, my car is cooler, slower but cooler. |

If all the cylinders have fuel, and spark at the right, time, then all the cylinders would be wiring.
Obviously you are missing something or assuming something.
You need to go back and check and verify everything you just wrote that was okay.
Fuel, Spark, and Timing at every cylinder. |

Son posted #1 post on this string on my behest, he now has his own screen name.
Found the problem! It is good news.
problem part #1: Brain vaporlock preventing simple tests.
Problen test: Move plug wire from only firing cylinder to another cyl.
POOF! Other cylinder fires. It's the plug wires!! (ordered yesterday)
BTW Cyl test: cold, cold, OUCH, cold.= #3 firing _________________ The Porsche is now my son's, my car is cooler, slower but cooler. |

yea i had a similar problem which was really making me mad. my first cylinder would only run sometimes, and you can hear when its running because there is a ticking noise. so i changed the sparkplugs, it fired more frequently, then later changed my leads and now its has never stoped firing since then _________________ 80' Porsche 924 NA - Slower then a S L O W
