I ran across this ad on The Samba. Looks like a potential deal.

looks nice but it's not a real GT and most likely not even an original turbo - more likely to be a tricked up 924 with 944 brakes, etc.

Turbo's didn't come out till 79 but depending upon price could still be a nice little ride

True. Plus the car is in Hawaii, so shipping won't be cheap.

great, racing specs

aren't race motors setup to last 100 hours? that's perfect for a street car

Hey, if you put the word "racing" in front of anything, it makes it twice as good...racing tires...racing shocks...racing ketchup...whatever

that doesn't even look like a carrera gt replica....... that looks like a 924 with 944 fenders and a 924 turbo nose panel that's not waht a 924 carrera gt looks like.

and what is "race specs" maybe he just painted the camshaft red and used red racing spark plug wires and a racing air filter.

looks like its in good condition though but I wouldn't pay 5 grand for a 924 that looks like a 924 but way slower.

I'm pretty sure no 924 turbo came with a 4speed so it's just a 78 na.

Racing ketchup! Hey, I like that! We need to get some of that for our next BBQ at the track!

yea youd definatly have to have a motor in
that bad boy. At the least a high cp ported and
polished head performance cammed with header
exhaust na motor or the experience might suck.

The na motor isnt to bad if you give some ooomph.

Maybe I'm just getting old, but why does everyone have to call their 924 with a 944 body kit a Carrera GT? Enough already.

Helps 'em believe that they don't really have a 25-year-old Vee-dub with a Porsche badge that'd get embarrased at the lights by a Dihatsu utility van...
