If it's the "Panamera", yes...

It looks way way better than the cayenne. Its not suppose to be sports car right? It looks really good if you want a 4 door sedan

they're just doing that to get more sales. A 911 or boxster isn't practical for everyone especially older guys with families who are their biggest customers. but people who can afford that porsche or a new 911 most likely have several other expensive cars in their garage but I guess they could still drive the kids to school etc. I see cayennes everywhere around here and I have not seen one guy driving it all the cayenne drivers I've seen were asian women and one older lady.

NO tim it dont look like a nice sedan to me...it looks like a choped carrera gt welded with some volvo or smth.

Yea i guess thats their concern...older guys using the porsche for family...the thing is...whats porsche? a sports car or a family car ?

BMW is already there...the sporty family car....i see porsche a car that is always poking on the ferraris and lambos for a race.

Not some for door luxury sedan. i still think its a realy bad ideea...and if i had a chance i would try and stop this Panamera project.

is that a true 4 door sedan or are those half doors? kinda looks like a bigger version of a rx-8 from the picture.

look, I don't think you can blame Porsche execs for considering the further expansion of cars they offer. I don't like the Cayenne but it has been and is still very profitable for the company. And from all I can see, Porsche does a good managing their profits. Personally, I don't think any Porsche should have any more than 5 openings - and only two of them should be doors (hood, rear lift gate, and sunroof for those counting). But if they can build a "sedan" for $45k and sell it for $75k, then when you multiply it by even a modest sales year you will have quite a bit of money in the bank - and investors like that.

I'm hoping that just the tease of a four door Porsche is enough to please - but we don't make the decisions, we just drive them.

Aesthetically speakig, Porsche stopped being viable in about 1995, but I agree with skemcin's comments.

Cayenne, Cayman, this new thing - butt ugly. But they keep Porsche in business, which helps keep us in parts.

Of course, the 931's in pieces...

i think its because of the current economical enviorment, porsche is more or less forced to introduce a un conventional car in order to stay on top in sales.

can you think of any other unconventional car desgins that porsche has done in the past in order to tackle the market?

I think they are going more for the CEO/business people. It's really hard to go to a fancy resteraunt with 4 adults in a 911, or the CEO wants a better car to be driven around in.

I only hate the stupid names, what happened to the numbers man, the numbers!

Porsche has already been on that road (designing a 4-door sedan) with it's 989 project in early 90's, but that but didn't complete it due to financial problems.
