i was told these things need doing....

1. windscreen repair got an 11mm crack...thats 1mm too much = [
2. headlamps need adjusting
3. both front struts have excessive play at the top mounts
4. brake application and release is uneven.

1 - is a no brainer

2 - should be pretty straight forward, but i am thinking to replace the sealed headlamp units for something with a bit more ummph

3- means i gotta replace front strut top mounts. is this easy enough?

4- is to readjust the star adjusters again and make sure the brakes are on song and even. wonder what best way to check evenness?

so all in all...not the end of the world

right! better get to my present wrapping..
HAPPY CHRISTMAS everyone!!

Uneven braking may be a hydraulic problem. Easy first fix (and good piece of mind) is new brake hoses.

the strut tower hat isnt too hard to replace, though you will want a strut spring compressor to be able to do it.
just adjust the headlights, replace with more powerful units later.

for the brake application, have this done by a MOT repair shop.

The euro model usually has the H4 bulbs in the headlamps and not sealed beam.
Swap them out with 100/60w H4 bulbs and put xenon 55w H3 in the driving lamps.
You'll notice a big difference.
