Well I bought a 924 parts car out of a junk yard mainly to get a few peices for my 944. It had been vandilized and stollen. All the glass had been smashed out except the back hatch so 90% of the non hard plastic interior is destroyed. I wanted the center console anyways. It supposedubly ran when it went to the junk yard. It's got a 5 speed tranny too. I was thinking abou seeing if could get it running. Stripping down the rest of the interior and using it for racing. Just wondering what some thoughts from 924 guys were.
Oh yeah. I got it for 200 bucks so. |

I would say keep the car but be careful about how much money you put into it. If you cant sell it and get most of your money back then its a waste, if there ends up being some major problems with the car that might not be worth fixing.
When i got my 924 it wasnt even close to running, and i had no clue what was wrong with it. But i also paid only $200 for the car, and now after six months of acquiring used parts it is driveable. I would say it was worth the effort so maybe you would feel the same. _________________ 1996 Honda del Sol Si Turbo

| Yeah. I'm going to spend a little bit of money and see if I can get it running. If I can then we'll see. I might just part it out. I would say except for paint 75% of the pannels are ok. If I can get it running I still might part it out cause it's got less that 80k on it. I need to double check that. I also need to double check the year. I does have a 5 speed though. I was wondering has anyone done an ad-hoc turbo set up and had the engine live to tell about it? |

| Well I finally went and looked and it's an '82. Hopefuly I'll know somemore about it when it get's warm. It's in the field behind my mother-in-laws (who said they were all bad?) and I need to figure out how to move it into the barn so i can either work on it or strip it. It has 3 flats and I had to pull it off the trailer w/ the 4Runner. I think I'm going to take the hatch off and then use the truck to push it around. |
