Just an FYI, there's a company that does those custom guages, www.speedhut.com. Over on rennlist, they've had them made for the 928, and it's a really close fit to the late 944. An early 944 owner has expressed interest in doing them for the early 944 - which could also fit our cars. They run about $100/set, at least for the 928, and they need a guarantee of 20 sets minimum to make them. Pics and more details can be found at:
http://forums.rennlist.com/cgi-bin/rennforums/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=15&t=014537

These are not merely new faces for the gauges, they're the glow-type. You know, like Indiglo.

Be sure to stop in and register your interest. Indicate what speedo you have, as this may affect matters.

They look Nice. My only concern would be the vast array of 944/924 gauges out there. Who decides which ones get made? I have had atleast three different 924 speedo's, then I know the 80 turbos, 944, and 924s are all different than the three I have had.

HEY YA! LETS DO IT! and while we're at it, why don't we pry off that ugly little shield on the nose, and slap on one of those honda symbols! yeah! O ya, lets get the 2 gallon exhaust pipe, and some underglow, ooo... tireflys... ALSO, we can get those neato little windshiled washer lights! wow...

Heh..I love sarcasm...but the indiglow gauges seem kinda ricey to me...

I would be in for a nice lighting upgrade on my guages. Anything is better than the dull yellow glow.

definately a good idea, the style on the 924's and S's are lame and look ugly. An upgrade is not ricey, just something that would make the car look better.

Well, that's what I liked about those ones in particular; they still look stock, keep the stock styling, but are actually visible! Although I have to admit, the high-wattage bulbs do keep me going well enough.

Alright. I did some research at www.speedhut.com and I was impressed. we can get a bunch of really kick a$$ gauges. like, they can say PORSCHE in the background, and have that light up as well when they are on. It'll be nice. but I think we need to have lotsa people go in on this to have them actually make them. but we'll see.
