For a alt mounting kit, the rubber mount a.k.a. hockey puck
# 047-903-149
its the thing that mounts to the block,, then
theres 2 bush #047-903-263 A & these are nice
units kind of like a rubber filled washer and last n
not forgotten theres 2 sleeves that go in between
# 059-903-127. Im checkin A# one source. Its bad usen
8mm 1.25 pitch bolts loaded with nuts n washers only to have
the bolt still break. Im trying a grade 8 bolt after to failures
with the commen bolt instead of usen a hocky puck I cant
find one anywhere ... maybe Ill try work for a puck see ...
theres an ice rink in the same building. 'Oh Ill let you
know if this is doable shouldnt cost much. _________________ 1979 porsche 924 Na

* update ... I can get all of these for 46.00 give or take
a buck or two. seven days though the bush I can get same day.
Man I hope the grade 8 bolt dont break tonight on my way to work
though Ill have 2 bushings heck those are only 2.12 each. Ahhh this
is good news thoughI was actually believing it was gonna cost far less
'Oh' well/. _________________ 1979 porsche 924 Na

Hey Joe,
The hockey puck thing does not last. The vibration will snap any bolt. The rubber crap mount is the only way. auto atlanta has it for less I think.I need one also along with a bolt tap _________________ 1978 924 95 mile daily driver.

yea ..Im working nights probly till december up in portland.
Ive had bad luck Ive had the job for 3 weeks now I work six
days week ten hours a day except on sunday I can work
13 hrs. Ive only gotten really about one full week in till
this last week I managed to get 62 hours in I wont get
paid for that till this coming friday... I ordered
the kit and have got the sleeves and bushings in the upper
mounts though the rubber mount takes 7 days si Ill
get that this monday or tuesday.. I cant waite.
.. . though I keep breaking bolts used in place of the
rubber mount & one time I snapped the belt Im glad I
was in the neighborhood that time. Get this
Ive used mr triple A plus 3 times in the last 3 weeks I had
other mechanical probems like a froze up oil pump I had to
replace avery bearing in my motor thats done though.
I put a new crank in also this was right after I
replaced the pistons with higher compression ones
Here I did a really dumb thing seems I didnt torque one
rod bolt down enough cause it came loose causing a
bearing to spin Now I had to get my car to work to
get me there so I just removed the pan was able to polish
the crank up as it was at idle when the bearing spun what
I didnt do was clean out the block from bearing shavings
so when I replaced the bearing and started to drive the
shavings stopped up the oil pump. Yup
I had to remove the block and rent a engine hoist for 30 bucks
even I totally had to tear it down and replace all the bearings &
the crank to plus the oil pump.. _________________ 1979 porsche 924 Na

its not a puck though just a 2" bolt a washer the bracket
another washer then a nut followed by 2 more nuts then
one more nut and the whole mess screwed into the block
theres very little room and if you tighten down the bracket
real good behind the first nut itll stay together after the
bolt snaps.
Which it does. _________________ 1979 porsche 924 Na

the trick is to not use washers to take up space
on the bolt..bolt snaps washers fall out use nuts
and itll stay together allright. _________________ 1979 porsche 924 Na
